The attack took place Sunday evening on Kabul-Jalalabad highway, with the member of parliament escaping the attack unhurt.
Afghan President Ashraf Ghani condemned the attack, calling it crime against humanity and Islamic values. “It was intolerable for the government,” said.
President Ghani said violence, terror, and crime wasn’t the way to put an end to the crisis and urged the Taliban to stop it.
There was no claim of responsibility for the attack.
