Multiple Explosions Rock Afghan Capital

A series of explosions hit Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul, on Wednesday, killing two and wounded another five.

The first explosion on Wednesday morning targeted a police vehicle in Qala-e Abdul Ali area in outskirts of Paghman district of Kabul province, police confirmed, adding no one was hurt.

It was followed by another bomb attack which targeted a Fortuner type car around 8:38am in Qwai Markaz area near the second district of Kabul city, provincial police confirmed adding four people were wounded.

A third explosion took place around 8:55am which targeted a Land Cruiser type vehicle in Baraki square of the capital city, leaving two killed and another one wounded, police added.

The explosions took place amid wave of targeted assassinations and sticky bombings have soared in the country already gripped with war and violence.
