As many as 21 Taliban fighters, including three commanders of the insurgents, were killed and another 18 wounded Monday in Afghan forces air raids in northern Faryab province, the 209th Shaheen Army Corps said.
The raids were carried out in Almar and Qaisar districts of the province.
Four hideouts belonging to the insurgents, a number of heavy and light weapons and many vehicles were also demolished during the raid.
There are reports of heavy casualties inflicted to the group fighters in Ghormach district of Faryab province.
The Taliban officials have yet to comment.
