A car loaded with explosives detonated on an outpost belonging to security forces in Chamtala town in Khogyani district of the province early Sunday morning, provincial media outlets said in a statement.
At least one Afghan soldier was killed and another two wounded in the attack.
No armed group has so far claimed responsibility, but the Taliban have claimed similar attacks.
