Speaking to TKG, Esmatullah, a resident in Momandara district of eastern Nangarhar province, said late last night around 10:00 [Afghanistan time], unknown gunmen torched a public accounting institute named the Institute of Peace and Liberty.
The institute’s administrative office, its library and many other parts were damaged following the blaze.
Local officials in the district also confirmed it, saying efforts were ongoing to hunt down perpetrators.
Last year too, a school was set ablaze by unknown men in the same district.
