A unit of the Afghan National Directorate of Security in the eastern Nangarhar province said its forces arrested four members of the Islamic State during an overnight operation in Dawlatzai area of Chaparhar district.
The arrested men were responsible for recruitments, marketing and carrying out guerrilla attacks on government officials, according to the statement.
There was no comment from the group yet.
