Six Killed in Armed Clashes in Northern Afghanistan

At least six were killed after clashes erupted between irresponsible armed men in Shahr-e Bozorg district of Afghanistan’s northern Badakhshan province.

Six Killed in Armed Clashes in Northern Afghanistan

Long-hours clash between armed men belonging to commander Najib and commander Sebghat began Friday evening and lasted for four hours, said provincial police spokesman Sanaullah Rouhani.

The fight took place in Ab Ganda village in Shahr-e Bozorg district of the province which left six killed.

Najib and two of his men were killed, according to the spokesman, who added another two said to be commander Sebghat’s fighters were killed and three others wounded.

There was no civilian casualties, Mr. Rouhani continued.
