A military Humvee loaded with explosives targeted a base belonging to public order forces in Gandumak area of Shirzad district, Nangarhar’s provincial media outlets confirmed.
At least eight members of the public order forces have been killed in the explosion.
Another security source has out the toll of casualties to 15 killed or wounded—12 killed and another three injured.
The Taliban said they were behind the attack, claiming to have brought heavy casualties to government forces.
