Coronavirus: Afghanistan Reports 104 New Infections

Health authorities in Afghanistan announced Tuesday (January 26) the country has registered 104 new COVID-19 infections and four related deaths in the past 24 hours.

As many as 104 new cases of infection were reported in Afghanistan in the past 24 hours, bringing the nationwide case count to 54,854.

The new infection cases were registered in Kabul, Herat, Kandahar, Balkh, Nangarhar, Takhar, Maidan Wardak, Badghis, Helmand, Laghman, Kunar and Ghor, Farah, Khos and Paktika provinces.

Some 47,459 patients have recovered from the virus since the outbreak first appeared in China entered the country.

There was no related death registered in the past 24 hours.

At least 1,928 suspected cases were processed during the last 24-hour period.
