A passenger car collided with a truck Monday night near Chahar Bolak district of northern Balkh province, on Mazda-Sheberghan highway, said provincial police spokesman Adel Shah Adel.
At least one was killed and 25 others, including three women and one child, were wounded in the crash, according to the spokesman.
The wounded people were taken to Abu Ali Sina regional hospital in Mazar-i-Sharif city. Five were in critical health condition.
The drivers’ negligence caused the car accident, the police spokesman said.
