Afghan national cricket players are set to play against Ireland in the third and final match of One-Day Internationals today at 11:30am [Afghanistan time] at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
Earlier today, Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) said the final ODI match was delayed “due to fog in certain areas of Abu Dhabi affecting the transportation in the city.”
But later on Twitter the board announced the match was rescheduled for 11:30am today.
The first of the ODI series between Afghanistan and Ireland kicked off Thursday morning, with Afghanistan winning the toss to bat first.
In the first game, Afghan players took a 16-run win over Ireland with Rahmanullah Gurbaz hitting debut century.
The second game was played on Sunday, with Afghanistan defeating Ireland by seven wickets.
Ireland won the toss and opted to bat first in the second match of One-Day Internationals against Afghanistan.
Paul Stirling’s century helped Ireland set 260 for Afghanistan. He made 128 from 132 balls.
But the Afghan national cricket team reached the victory target and beat Ireland by seven wickets.
These matches are of great importance since the results give the winner team 10 World Cup Super League points.
