Afghanistan reported additionally 80 new cases of the coronavirus on Thursday (January 21), bringing its nationwide caseload to 54,483.

The country lost at least seven people to the coronavirus within the last 24 hours, according to the latest data by the health ministry, pushing the total fatalities in the country to 2,370

According to the official data provided by the health ministry, at least 128 patients having been infected with the novel COVID-19 have got better after the illness, bringing the recovery toll to 46,887 in the country.

Worldwide, 2,073,155 people have lost the battle for their lives and the total infections passed 96.6 million, a tally by Reuters indicated.
