The 209th Shaheen Army Corps said in a statement that at least five Taliban fighters were killed and eleven more wounded in Afghan air raids in Almar district and clashes in Qaisar district of northern Faryab province.
According to the source, a base belonging to the militants and a number of the weapons were also demolished the raid.
Similarly in another statement the corps said two militants were killed and five others wounded after clashes erupted between Taliban fighters and government forces in Nahre Shahi, Sholgara and Dehdadi districts of northern Balkh province.
The Taliban officials have not commented yet.
