Unknown gunmen in a car opened fire at Abdul Wali Armani who was the director of environment protection agency in the second police district of Ghazni city, Plan 3 area, Monday evening around 5:10, said governor spokesman Wahidullah Jumazada.
Mr. Armani and one his bodyguards were slightly wounded in the attack, according to the spokesman.
The perpetrators managed to flee the area, and investigations were underway to find and arrest them.
There was no claim of responsibility for the attack.
