Azerbaijan Releases Identities of Soldiers Killed in NK Conflict

Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense (MoD) announced at least 2,855 soldiers were killed in last year’s territorial conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan over the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region and were buried by January 18.

According to the statement, another fifty soldiers were missing.

According to the media reports, the government of Azerbaijan did not release the list of its deceased soldiers who lost the battle for their lives in last year’s conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh region.

But on January 11, in an updated list, included the names of 2,841 military personnel killed during the clashes and 64 others missed who were said to be missing.

Then Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense publicly disclosed the updated list with the names of 2,855 military personnel, who were identified and buried as of Monday.

Fifty other soldiers remain missed.
