Virtually speaking at the inauguration ceremony for the three joint projects between Afghanistan and the neighboring Turkmenistan, Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani said addressing to the Taliban that continued violence contradicts a national consensus and leads to people mobilize against the armed group more than ever.

Negotiators from the Afghan government and the Taliban are holding meetings in the Qatari capital of Doha to prepare an agenda for the peace talks aimed at ending Afghanistan’s long-decades war and violence, with the team representing the Islamic Republic putting ceasefire a top priority.
Violence against Afghan forces and civilians, however, has soared over recent weeks despite those efforts the Afghan government and the Taliban have been putting for the unprecedented peace talks.
