In a statement, the Afghan Ministry of Interior, said police special forces carried out counterterrorism operations in Pul-e Alam city, the provincial capital of Logar.
At least three Taliban fighters were arrested and a number of weapons seized from the militants during the operation, according to the statement.
There was no comment from the Taliban.
