A number of unknown armed men opened fire at the vehicle of an employee of the National Directorate of Security (NDS) in the third district of Nangarhar’s provincial capital of Jalalabad Monday around 8:30, said the governor Ziaulhaq Amarkhel.
The perpetrators managed to flee the area, according to the governor, but efforts were underway to hunt them down.
There was no claim of responsibility.
