The accident took place in Herat-Islamqala Highway Sunday afternoon, according to Mohammad Rafiq Shirzai, spokesman for the provincial health department.
The dead bodies were rushed to regional hospital, according to the spokesman.
This is not the first time car crashes take place in the highway.
Drivers’ negligence and collapsed roads are mostly believed to be the main causes and factors that contribute to car collisions.
