At least 120 people tested positive for the coronavirus pandemic within the past 24 hours, said the health ministry Thursday, adding the country recorded seven COVID-19 deaths during the same period.
The new patients died from the illness pushed the total deaths to 2,260, according to ministry’s figures.
Also, 451 patients having been contracted with the COVID-19 disease have recovered over the past 24 hours, bringing the toll of coronavirus recoveries to 43,291.
At least 1,666 tests were carried out during the past 24 hour period.
Worldwide, 1,873,667 have died from the deadly disease and over 86.6 million more have been infected since the start of an outbreak that first appeared in Wuhan, China, in early December.
