Explosion in Afghan Capital Kills One

At least one civilian was killed and another two wounded after a bomb explosion targeted a car Thursday morning around 8:15am in Chehel Setoon area, Kabul’s seventh security district, said police spokesman Ferdaws Faramarz.

Fazel Mahmoud Fazly, head of Administrative Office of President (AOP), said on social media that today’s blast targeted the car belonging to AOP’s employees.

The car belonged to Mohammad Jawed Wali, deputy director of advisers’ affairs in AOP, who is severely injured in Thursday’s blast while his driver has been killed, according to head of President’s Administrative Office.

The wounded people were rushed to hospital, according to the police spokesman.

There was no claim of responsibility for the attack.
