Officials in Afghanistan’s eastern Nangarhar province said national security forces have captured a local resident of the province described as a recruiter for IS/Daesh insurgent group.
The man identified as Tasal Aziz, who was responsible for IS’ recruitments has been arrested in the second district of capital Jalalabad city, Nangarhar’s media outlet said in a statement.
He was a resident of Chaparhar district, located in the center of Nangarhar province, according to the statement.
Aziz has confessed his crimes.
