At least three Taliban insurgents were killed by their own bomb in Afghanistan’s eastern Paktia province, according to a statement released by the Ministry of Defense.
Last night, armed Taliban planned to place an explosive device at a side of a road in Chamkanai district in the eastern province of Paktia in bids to target civilians, said the Afghan Ministry of Defense.
The bomb detonated, according to the statement, leaving three insurgents killed and another two wounded.
The Taliban officials however have not commented yet.
