Afghan top peace official and head of High Council for National Reconciliation, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, is set to meet with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, Prime Minister Qaher Rasoolzada, and other senior officials, according to Faraidoon Khwazoon, a spokesman for the council.
His trip is said to be aimed at seeking support and strengthening regional consensus for peace.
Prior to this, chairperson of the high council for national reconciliation had trips to Pakistan, India, Iran, Uzbekistan and Turkey.
