TKG was created by DHSA in 2002 as a public media initiative dedicated to increasing public access to independent information in an effort to improve lives, to foster pluralism and give voices of reason and freedom in Afghanistan greater opportunities for expression. TKG operates ten local radio stations (Radio Killid Network)

Duties & Responsibilities

Overall Responsibilities

The Organizational Development Officer acts as organizational development (OD) consultant to
organization and target civil society organizations. S/he conducts participatory OD assessments

Supports partners/CSOs in developing and implementing action plans for organizational
development and provides them with technical assistances and facilitates some training sessions as well. S/he will report to Project Manager or Program manager and work closely with the his/her team and other line units

Conduct participatory OD assessments of the target CSOs on local level

Assist target CSOs to identify capacity building goals and develop action plans for the organization development.

Support the capacity building and certification program of target CSOs.

Provide assistance in managing rapid response issues raised by target CSOs.

Follow up with target CSOs on the implementation of their action plans. This includes reviewing relevant project reports of target CSOs to assess activities and results against action plans and to provide feedback with preventive and corrective recommendations.

Assist target CSOs to access resources for addressing OD needs and help them to plan and OD interventions.

Provide target CSOs with direct practical technical assistance according to their needs and areas of expertise.

Internal trainings and consultations to and target CSOs staff in terms of OD activities.

Participate in collection of information for and preparation of bi weekly and quarterly reports on program activities including review of target CSOs reports and provide constructive feedback as needed.

Participate in promoting the exchange of OD information and expertise across the

Work closely with Project team or OD team in conducting annual PODAs of the target
CSOs to track strengthened organizational capacity.

assist in planning to facilitate and/or participate fully in meetings and ad hoc working groups and participate in project design and proposal development on need base

Keep informed of civil society issues and developments in Afghanistan.

Other tasks, related duties and responsibilities as assigned by his/her immediate supervis

 

 

 

Job Requirements:

Education: University degree in training or management-related field preferred

Working experience:  3 years

Qualification:

University degree or relevant equivalent experience in General Management
Businesses Administration or related field.

At least 3 years of progressively working experience in organizational
development program management; experience working with NGOs strongly

Demonstrated proficiency in English language both spoken and written and to two main local languages Pashto and Dari

Good computer skills to include Internet Word Excel database.

Ability to work both independently and as an effective team member.

Ability to work under pressure.

Excellent cross-cultural skills ability to work in a diverse multi-cultural NGO environment with respect professionalism and gender sensitivity.
