Job Description:
Objective of the TOR:
The Terms of Reference (TORs) describe the role of a Curriculum Development Expert who will provide support towards the Curriculum Development and Training component of the R3 Project.
- Tasks
The Curriculum Development Expert will work closely with the project team in delevering the following tasks:
Conduct a technical review of the similar curricula developed in the existing domain of DHSA.
The Curriculum Development Expert is to further identify any gaps or any shortcoming which may affect the training courses developed from the curricula and make recommendations for the curriculum to address these.
Review quality of the curricula developed by DHSA/CARE and assess its ability to deliver on the Training Principles proposed in the project scope of work, these training principles include,
Relevance of content,
Ability to engage the all intended eligible beneficiaries both male and female;
Simplicity of material;
Training that can take advantage to all stakeholders;
Demand-driven, allowing the participants to recognize tangible benefits of the training.
Make recommendations about how best to deliver the curricula to the proposed target groups, including recommendations about the most effective training strategies, methodologies and tools.
In line with the R3 project scope of work, it can bring lessons learnt and best practice at the end by completion of the training component.
Meet with proposed service providers if required and provide additional support which will shape effective training for the project intended beneficiaries and key stakeholders in the target locations.
Work closely with CARE, Directorate of IDPs and refugees and other key stakeholders if needed to deliver on the agreed tasks.
Job Requirements:
Candidate Qualifications
Experience
Proven track record of training curricula (and manual) development and/or working on different training-related programmes including livelihood trainings;
In-depth knowledge and understanding of the following areas:
Humanitarian (Recovery, reintegration and Resilience)
Livelihoods different components
CSOs capacity building and empowerment
Competencies
Proven ability to demonstrate innovative thinking and stimulate an environment that fosters innovation and
openness to change;
Knowledge of one or more national competency systems and innovative ideas for
curriculum development and training provision;
Excellent written and spoken English skills and sound report writing skills with Pashto and Dari required skills as well.
Proven experience of providing technical advice to teams based in different provinces from a distance;
Ability to contribute to and comfortably work in a multidisciplinary setting;
Able to work independently to strict timelines.
