A group leader and three militants belonging to the Taliban were arrested late last night in Afghan capital Kabul, read a statement by the Ministry of Defense.
A number of weapons and military equipment were also seized from the militants.
According to the statement, these members of the Taliban were involved in recent assassinations targeting government employees.
The government forces yesterday arrested two members of the Taliban responsible for sticky bombings.
The Taliban have not yet commented.
