These pro-government Public Uprising Forces came under Taliban ambush when they were on way from Khan Abad to their homes in Bangi district of Takhar province, said the provincial police spokesman Khalil Aseer.
Clashes erupted between government forces and the Taliban fighters at a border point between Khan Abad ditrict of Kunduz province and Bangi district of Takhar province, the spokesman added.
The Taliban officials have yet to comment.
