Afghanistan Registers 321 New COVID-19 Infections

The coronavirus total infections hit 49,273 in Afghanistan after it recorded 321 more coronavirus cases over the last 24 hours.

At least 321 people were tested positive for the coronavirus pandemic within the past 24 hours, said the health ministry on Sunday, adding the country recorded 11 COVID-19 deaths during the same period.

The new patients died from the illness pushed the total deaths to 1,971, according to ministry’s figures.

Also, 56 patients having been contracted with the COVID-19 disease have recovered over the past 24 hours, bringing the toll of coronavirus recoveries to 38,384.

Worldwide, 1,604,429 have died from the deadly disease and over 70.8 million more have been infected since the start of an outbreak that first appeared in Wuhan, China, in early December.
