Afghanistan’s COVID-19 Cases Rise by 73

The Afghan health ministry reported additional 73 cases on Friday (December 11), saying the country has now registered 48,826 coronavirus cases and a total of 1,949 deaths since the outbreak.

The new cases of infection have been registered in Kabul, Herat, Kandahar, Balkh, Nimruz, Ghazni, Badghis, Maidan Wardak, Kapisa, Zabul and Urozgan. 

The number of patients recovered from the illness according to health ministry, hit 38,266 with 45 patients recovered from the novel coronavirus during the last 24 hours.

The country’s COVID-19 death toll stood at 1,949 as a tally by the health ministry indicated that 10 more patients having been infected with the illness have died in the past 24 hours.

Three COVID-19 infected patients have died in Kabul and another seven have lost the battle for their lives in Afghanistan’s Herat province.
