Three consecutive blasts rocked the ninth district of Mazar-e Sharif city in northern Balkh province late yesterday evening, Adel Shah Adel, a spokesman for the provincial police said.
The explosives were placed inside a flower pot, but has left no casualties.
Witnesses however said the blasts have shattered windows of the nearby houses.
The spokesman added that another four bombs were defused by Afghan forces.
No one has so far claimed responsibility.
