Unknown Armed Men Shoot Dead Traffic Cop in Northern Afghanistan

Unknown armed men gunned down a traffic cop in the second district of Mazar-e Sharif city in northern Balkh province last night, Munir Ahmad Farhad, spokesman for the provincial governor spoke to TKG.

Another police officer was shot and wounded by the gunmen, according to the spokesman, adding the perpetrators managed to flee the area.

Investigations to identify and hold the perpetrators have begun, said the spokesman.
