The total number of coronavirus cases in Afghanistan rose to 47,256 after 276 were tested positive for the disease, said the Afghan Ministry of Public Health.
The health ministry further said that with 19 new deaths, the country’s total COVID-19 fatalities hit 1,841.
Another statistic also indicated a rise: as many as 37,302 patients have recovered after 276 patients got better.
Health authorities in Afghanistan has warned of a second wave of coronavirus as number of daily confirmed COVID-19 cases continues to surge.
It urged people to abide by measures taken to avoid a second wave of the virus.
