Securing 145 votes of confidence, Ahmad Jawad Osmani, was approved to be Minister of Public Health.
Mohibullah Samim secured 209 votes of confidence from the Afghan Parliament, approving him to be the Minister of Borders and Tribal Affairs.
Karima Hamid Faryabi meanwhile was approved as Minister of Economy after securing 136 votes in favor of her.
There were, however, minister-designates who failed to secure enough votes.
Rangina Hamidi secured 114 out of 122 votes of confidence needed to secure from the Afghan Parliament to be the Minister of Information and Culture.
Mujib Rahman Rahimi also failed to secure enough votes of confidence from the Afghan Parliament. After vote counting, he secured 118 out of 122 votes needed to approve him as Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development.
Ajmal Ahmadi, in addition, could not secure enough votes of confidence needed to approve him as head of the State/Central Bank. He secured 72 out of 122 needed votes.
Speaker of the House, Mir Rahman Rahmani, urged Afghan President Ashraf Ghani to introduce new nominees for the ministries rejected by MPs.
