At least 110 cases of HIV/AIDS have been registered in Afghanistan this year, indicating drop in cases compared to last year, according Public Health.
They have decreased from 190 in 2019 to 110 in 2020, said Noorullah Tarakai, spokesman for the Ministry of Public Health.
The prevalence of the disease is low in Afghanistan, but the potential risks for its spread is still high.
World AIDS Day takes place on December 1 each year. It is an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV.
