At least 219 people were tested positive for the coronavirus pandemic within the past 24 hours, said the health ministry Tuesday, adding the country lost 21 COVID-19 patients during the same period.
The new patients died from the illness pushed the total deaths to 1,800, according to ministry’s figures.
Also, 119 patients having been contracted with the COVID-19 disease have recovered over the past 24 hours, bringing the toll of coronavirus recoveries to 36,907.
Worldwide, 1,466,811 have died from the deadly disease and over 63 million more have been infected since the start of an outbreak that first appeared in Wuhan, China, in early December.
