Provincial media outlets of Afghanistan’s Nangarhar province said the gate is opened to pedestrian traffic as per the schedule set before.

Days after the closure of Torkham due to clashes between Afghan and Pakistani border guards, the Torkham gate is reopened to pedestrian traffic for four days a week–Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Since last Saturday, Torkham crossing border had been closed due to clashes between Afghan and Pakistani border forces.
