A roadside bomb struck a vehicle in Herat-Islamqala Highway yesterday evening, said Abdul Ahad Walizadah, a spokesman for the provincial police chief, without releasing details of casualties.
According to the spokesman, the bomb placed at a side of a road struck the civilian car when the driver overtook a police vehicle.
Mohammad Rafiq Shirzai, a spokesman for the provincial health department, put the toll of casualties to three killed and three others wounded.
No one has claimed the attack so far.
