Scores of Taliban militants stormed district center of Qaisar in northern Faryab province last night around 9:30pm, but the attack was fended off by government forces, police spokesman Abdul Karim Yourish spoke to TKG.
Half an hour later, following the clash between government-backed forces and the Taliban fighters, a car rigged with explosives went off in a market in Qaisar district, said the spokesman
The bombing left no one hurt, but caused material damages.
The Taliban have not commented yet.
