Sticky Bomb Attack Kills One in Helmand

One, said to be a journalist working for Azadi Radio, has been killed and three others wounded in a sticky bomb blast in southern Afghanistan, local officials said.

A sticky bomb attached to the vehicle of Mohammad Elias Dayee, an Afghan journalist working for a local radio, went off today morning in Lashkargah city, the provincial capital of Helmand, the provincial governor’s spokesman, Omar Zwak, spokes to TKG.

The Azadi Radio’s journalist lost his life in the attack, according to Mr. Zwak, and three others were wounded.

No one immediately claimed responsibility.

The attack on Dayee is the second attack on journalists in just one week following Yama Siawash’s, who was a former journalist and anchor working for TOLOnews.
