The total number of coronavirus cases in Afghanistan rose to 41,633 after 132 were tested positive for the disease, said the Afghan Ministry of Public Health.
According to health ministry, announcing the cases on Monday, as many as 132 new cases of infection with the COVID-19 were detected in eight provinces of the country.
The health ministry’s official data further indicated that with five new deaths during the same period, the country’s total COVID-19 deaths hit 1,541.
Another statistic also indicated a rise: as many as 34,342 patients have recovered after 16 patients have recently got better.
