In a statement, the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the Acting Foreign Minister Mohammad Hanif Atmar met yesterday with U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Ross Wilson in Storay Palace.
The officials discussed the recent political and security developments in the country, according to the statement, as well as the Afghan peace talks and the role and importance of regional and international support for the success of the process.
They also exchanged views on the strengthening of Kabul-Washington bilateral cooperation.
“Mr. Wilson assured Mr. Atmar of his country’s continued commitment and cooperation with Afghanistan,” according to the statement.
