With 28,629 new confirmed infections within the last 24 hours, Brazil has recorded to be the country with over 5.4 million cases of coronavirus.
The countrywide COVID-19 deaths was pushed to 158,456 after the country recorded more than five hundred deaths on Wednesday.
After the United States and India, Brazil is the third worst-affected country.
According to the data provided by Reuters coronavirus map, the worldwide cases of infection has surpassed 44.1 million with a total of 1,169,580 deaths.
