Afghan National Army targeted a group of Taliban who had gathered in Mosahi district of Kabul yesterday and were planning an attack on government forces, according to a statement by the Ministry of Defense.
At least 12 militants were killed as Afghan forces thwarted their attack, said to the statement, adding a number of their weapons were also seized.
The Taliban officials have yet to comment.
