A spokesman for the provincial governor, Omar Zwak, confirmed to TKG, saying five civilians were dead in a blast which took place Wednesday in the third district of Lashkargah city.
Two other civilians were wounded in the blast, Mr. Zwak added.
The governor’s spokesman didn’t provide details on the type of IED device.
No armed group or individual claimed responsibility.
