Abdul Karim Yourish, a spokesman for the provincial police chief, said armed Taliban entered the house of an old man in Afghan Tapa village of Grezwan district in northern Faryab province, opening fire at him and his son.
The old man and his son were killed, according to the source, since he provided government soldiers with water.
The Taliban officials have yet to comment.
