A police officer was killed and five others were injured Tuesday in a bomb blast in southern Afghanistan’s Kandahar province, a provincial police spokesman said.
The blast, targeting the police, occurred in Kandahar city’s ninth district in the morning, killing a policeman and injuring five others—a police officer and four civilians—police spokesman Jamal Nasir Barekzai said.
No one immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
