During clashes between government forces and the Taliban, a power substation near the conflict zone was looted by residents [taking advantage of the fighting], Waheedullah Tawhidi, a spokesman for Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) told TKG.
The incident took place after a number of substation workers were taken out unharmed by government forces, according to the spokesman.
He further added two utility workers in Dorahi were taken as hostages by the Taliban.
Sources, however, have told TKG that Taliban have kidnapped as many as twenty employees of the substation as captives.
The Taliban didn’t comment immediately.
