The attacks were launched on Monday, overnight, in Khas Urozgan district of southern Urozgan province, Ahmad Shah Sahil, a spokesman for the provincial governor confirmed to TKG.
The blast was followed by armed clashes between the militants and Afghan forces, leaving eight government policemen and three insurgents killed.
The Taliban officials have yet to comment.
The spike in Taliban’s attacks comes amid a peace negotiation to end the longest-running war of the conflict-devastated country.
