Chinese company MCC 19 has inked a contract with the Afghan government on Tuesday to construct 1,400 housing units in Kabul, a statement by the Presidential Palace said.
The housing project will be launched in the Nila Bagh area of Darul Aman, read the statement by the Afghan Presidential Palace.
As per the agreement signed in 2015, China will fund construction of 10,000 apartments in total with the initial phase totaling 1,400.
The housing project is the largest China-funded project in the war-devastated country.
